Dubai Customs and Emcode Technology LLC, a UXE Group company, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the development of “Shahin”, a Smart Lock Solution designed to enhance the security, transparency, and efficiency of shipment movements between Dubai’s ports.
The agreement was signed during GITEX Global 2025 by Mr. Abdulla Al Suwaidi, Group CEO of UXE, in the presence of Mr. Jean Luc, CEO of Emcode Technology, and Mr. Attiq Mohammed Al Muheri, Executive Director of Dubai Customs Development Sector, representing Dubai Customs.
The Shahin Smart Lock Solution integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to enable real-time monitoring, tracking, and authentication of cargo shipments. This collaboration aims to create a seamless digital ecosystem that strengthens the reliability of Dubai’s trade infrastructure, ensures tamper-proof cargo movements, and supports faster customs clearances.
By combining Emcode’s expertise in AI, Telematics, and IoT systems with Dubai Customs’ commitment to innovation, the partnership reinforces the emirate’s position as a global leader in smart and secure trade facilitation.
